Improving Educators’ Skills in Inclusive STEM Lesson Creation

STEM by STEM

Goal and Objectives

The primary goal of this project is to provide teachers with accessible, easily implemented, and engaging STEM educational resources. These resources aim to spark interest in STEM among students aged 6-14 and enhance their science literacy. This goal will be realized by equipping teachers with innovative approaches to STEM education, focusing on hands-on learning. The project will develop a Toolkit with guidelines for creating STEM lessons (WP1) and an online Wiki curated by fellow educators (WP2).

Activities

The partnership will undertake a variety of activities, including management and implementation related to the project’s overall direction. The main activities will involve developing both tangible and intangible outcomes—specifically, the Toolkit for creating STEM lessons and the online Wiki. Other activities will include sharing and promoting results for wider dissemination, ensuring the sustainability and future availability of project outcomes, and conducting training sessions for teachers.

Expected Results

The partnership will create a Toolkit featuring guidelines for crafting STEM lessons and will train educators in the use of this Toolkit during international and national training sessions. In addition, an online Wiki will be developed to host STEM lessons and materials, which will be freely accessible to anyone interested in STEM topics. Beyond these tangible outcomes, the partnership will also organize sharing and promotional events, and provide training for teachers in STEM lesson development.
