European Odyssey project is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership that explores the development of ideas, science, and philosophy between the 12th and 18th centuries. Through innovative educational resources, including a board game, a video game and a training kit, the project promotes critical thinking, information analysis and understanding of Europe’s history, scientific achievements, cultural heritage and shared values.
The objectives of the project are the following:
- Enhance critical thinking and information analysis skills by a minimum of 10% among at least 375 participants within a 33-month timeframe.
- Raise knowledge of fundamental aspects of European history, science, culture, and values by at least 10% among 375 participants within a 33-month period.
- Foster cross-sectoral synergies in education, training, and business throughout and beyond the project’s duration by actively involving 15 organizations in using the results.
The project is centered around three main outcomes:
- A non-formal resource training KIT designed to bolster critical thinking, tailored for teachers, trainers, youth workers, and adult educators: Ideas Worth Remembering: Enhancing Critical Thinking through the Exploration of History, Science, and Philosophy.
- A board game centered around the European Age of Discovery.
- A video game focusing on the Scientific Revolution and the European Age of Enlightenment.
